Three key adjectives: Compassionate, Determined, Vengeful.

Influential Events:
Being Sold to Khal Drogo: Once she reached the age where she was capable of having children, she was sold to the Dothraki leader known as Khal Drogo by her older brother Viserys in exchange for the Khal's horde of vicious, savage warriors. They would embark on a journey, hoping to take them across the Narrow Sea to Westeros in order for Viserys to reclaim his throne through a direct war on King's Landing. Initially, Daenerys is dutiful, timid, and fearful of disobeying her brother — as such, she weds and is forced into the Dothraki culture as their Khaleesi (equivalent of Queen). Here, she meets Jorah Mormont of Bear Island and begins to hear about her homelands, allowing her to come to terms with the fact that all of this will bring her closer to what she wanted most: a home.

Although Daenerys is both defiled and kept in the culture against her will, she begins to show signs of making choices for herself. She seeks her handmaidens out to learn to have sex in ways that would both benefit her and cease the pain of her husband's violent ways. She learns to stand up against her brother, whose selfish end goals only result in the crown, using her role as Khaleesi to intimidate and keep his budding anger in check. Finally, she embraces the Dothraki culture and tries to change the problematic nature of it, even going as far as to fall in love with Khal Drogo. She begins to demand that the pillaging of villages are sparse and few in between, starts saving women that were to be slaved and raped, and finally, comes to terms that she is the one meant to sit on the Iron Throne.

Due to her marriage to Khal Drogo, Daenerys turned from a weak-willed and abused little girl into a fearsome woman. During a series of events, she loses the child she conceives with Drogo and he is eventually put into a vegetative state without a hope of returning to the life they once had. Pitifully, she decides to seek her fate out, trusting her dreams and visions, and walks into Drogo's funeral pyre with three, stone dragon eggs of yore. When the ashes settle, Jorah finds her unscathed, nursing three newly hatched baby dragons. This starts her on the path to her throne and to ensure people never become chained like she had been.

Freeing the Unsullied at Astapor: With her baby dragons growing, her first task to prove herself as a khaleesi worth following ends with procuring a small ship after avenging those who take advantage of her and her khalasar in Qarth, a city they sought salvation in after Drogo's death. They sail to Astapor, with Daenerys reluctant to purchase a small slave army known as the Unsullied. Jorah Mormont advises as her impromptu Hand, insisting they were limited on options of arising an army. Due to her experiences being wed and sold, Dany sees a big distinction between free soldiers and slave soldiers, one that bode negatively in Westeros where slavery is illegal.

Torn by the choices at her feet — to purchase slaves to fight for her or delay her plans to return to Westeros — Daenerys visits with the Unsullied owner to learn more before making a choice. Daenerys is advised through her time there to think carefully, becoming close with the owner's translator Missandei, who had also been enslaved herself. She learns of the Unsullied's training and lack of humanity, admiring their own ferocity as well.

Her gentle heart, however, bleeds when she sees the brutality of both Unsullied and the people enslaved in Astapor. This changes her — this allows her to make plans on her own, independent of council from Jorah and her newly enlisted Ser Selmy Barristan. With the offering of a dragon in exchange for the entire army (8,000 — a number she could not afford through coin), Daenerys acts on her own much to her adviser's disbelief.

Daenerys shows a continued need of vengeance and seeking justice for those who are less fortunate. Revealing she was proficient in the foreign tongue the Unsullied owner spoke, she was aware of the man's cruelty and insults from the very beginning. Her plan becomes clear with a single word: Dracarys. With her dragon, she burns Astapor and kills the masters of the Unsullied for their cruelty, not allowing injustice go unpunished.

Freedom is important to Daenerys, something she strives to help others achieve. The Unsullied are no different. It is here, she gives a choice: to follow her freely or choose their own path for once in their life. Fortunately, the Unsullied choose to follow the Targaryen.

Ruling over Meereen: Despite the forging of her own path and the success of it, Daenerys is advised at many junctures to listen to her trusted circle of supporters and Queensguard. The importance of being calculative is stressed upon her to consider at this point. With an army behind her, there was more to do. Procuring ships to Westeros was a top priority now, but Daenerys shows an impulsive streak that makes taking this news difficult.

Over the course of her travels, she arrives in the Free Cities. Disgusted by the further tradition of slavery instilled as part of culture, it is here she begins to enlist the help of the Second Sons (a mercenary group) to liberate the cities she hopes to recruit in favor of her title of Khaleesi and future Queen of Westeros. Daenerys, with the help of her trusted advisers and enlisted troops, free both Yunkai and soon, Meereen.

However, through the troubles of being caught in the middle of a civil war brewing between free slaves and masters, Daenerys has to deal with the realities of being unable to stop a self-destructing city. Her dragons begin to grow far more than she can control, burning children to death during their nomadic hunts outside of the cities. Innocents also begin to bne slaughtered for supporting Daenerys' claim to the Meereen throne.

Daenerys starts to trust more than just her very tight-knit circle – allowing Daario into her bed, Barristan to serve as Queensguard, and welcoming Tyrion Lannister (brother of the man who killed her father) as a valued adviser for his tactical mind. It is here that much of her Targaryen impulsion is culled, and she is able to move forward with enlisting her own plans for the city.

This time ruling over Meereen is not all prosperous. She is faced with many struggles that test her as both a person and Queen. First, she has to deal with the disbelievers as the Sons of the Harpy continue to try and slaughter the Targaryen supporters. Next, the deep betrayal of Jorah Mormont admitting to spying on her when they first met for Robert Baratheon. Additionally, the sad reality that her dragons were not simply her children and could cause severe harm brought much pain and conflict to her heart. Finally, she acknowledges the acceptance that her choices can often be hard to make and morally ambiguous when choosing to behead a Meerenese who killed a Harpy for seeking justice.

Sailing to Westeros: With ships offered to her by the Greyjoys who seek assistance in eliminating their Uncle who stole the Ironborn crown, Daenerys prepares to sail to Westeros sooner than anticipated. Here, Daenerys has grown cold and settles her nerves enough to act as a Queen – enlisting the Dothraki civilians after killing their Khals with fire after they attempted to imprison her. She then forgives and exiles Jorah for a third time (selflessly in hopes he can cure his fatal case of greyscale), anticipating he would one day return to her services. Unfortunately, Daenerys also gives up the torrid affair she had with the sellsword Daario, knowing they can not be together when she takes the Throne – mainly due to the political advantages of marriage and forging alliances.

By moving forward with her plans, Daenerys knows the struggles are only just beginning. With her army, her dragons, and her closest advisers at her side – Daenerys leaves behind the people she freed and the life she forged for herself in hopes of reclaiming her birthright.

Chosen path: Wizard
5 Abilities:
Canon power: Fire Immunity
Path Powers: Detect Magic, Comprehend Language, Fireball, Find Familiar (Pseudodragon)
Why this path?: Daenerys Targaryen may not be a woman with magic powers but she is a creator of hope, inspiration, and a fire inside of her followers. The path I've chosen for her reflects a few good traits of Daenerys – her kinship with fire, her ability to sense when things are not quite as they seem (mainly, to prevent herself from being fooled), and her well-versed travels and expansive languages known. I feel this puts her in more of a reactive role – passive until something threatens her which she can then defend herself or lash out entirely. I feel this will allow her to showcase her budding anger issues too, especially with the source of fire at her fingertips.
