The Aefenglom society seems to pride itself on unity and bonds. Monsters and Witches work together to survive against a common threat: the Cwyld. In this, they bring out the best in both of them, both natives and Mirrorbound. However, it has become clear that some instances that have occurred does not paint Aefenglom in the most favorable light. There is a natural distrust — a frustration at the lack of answers — and with that, some people question the motives of Aefenglom and Dorcharcht entirely. Whether it is completely justified has remained to be seen.
After the last event, many are caught between feeling at odds due to Aefenglom sending them as dignitaries like lambs to slaughter or simply not liking Aefenglom's middleground stance in the whole ordeal. Initially, sitting by idly at the concerns of monster enslavement leaves bitterness boiling.
It is here that the realization came: if the Mirrorbound are not able to return home through the mirrors, they should be allowed the freedom to make allegiances and choose paths for themselves.
Things to consider:
1. Mirrorbound should be able to classify themselves as independent of Aefenglom. With a partnership with Parliament and the Coven, it is important to understand that Aefenglom's views will not reflect the Mirrorbound. This will put them at odds or in favor of Aefenglom's motives depending upon the mods discretion on future events.
2. The Mirrorbound would like to seek this independence, however they must consider housing that Aefenglom had allowed them to have. If they are hosted for free by Aefenglom, there is a debt to be paid. With that, is there any involvement with Cwyld Research and general world lore that would prove the Mirrorbound more valuable to task as their main objective here? Not quite the "Dirty jobs" Aefenglom may not want to task, but anything to prove payment for continued living in the city? Until they could possibly begin finding safety elsewhere?
3. What about their mirrors – could they be moved into Mirrorbound possession?
