I would not think of this as a replacement for a royal council, but an addition. Where I came from, the King still ruled, and still had his own grouping of advisers, but the Chambers had their own say in matters as well. And he listened, to know the sentiments of his people.

Agreed. Many of us wish to return home but not all. However, all of us did not make a choice to come to this world. Regardless of how others may view it, I do believe a debt is exchanged. Transparency is crucial and through my time here, I'm discovering little by little a poor leadership. If they will not help us find a way home, perhaps we should turn our attention somewhere that could.
